Why HRF
As a single contractor solution, we eliminate the gaps between trades. Your kitchen remodeling project is coordinated end to end — no juggling a separate framer, tile setter, and painter who never talk to each other.
Our design-build process aligns layout, cabinetry, and finishes with your budget up front, then sequences the work so demolition, rough-in, Level-5 drywall, and finish carpentry flow without costly delays.
Because painting is our origin craft, the details land: clean cut lines, sprayed cabinet finishes, and premium coatings that make the whole space feel custom — true professional craftsmanship from a trusted South Jersey remodeler.
One contract, one schedule, one warranty — backed by our licensed, insured team.
Full Scope
A genuine kitchen remodel goes well beyond new appliances and cabinet doors. Depending on your project's scope, HRF coordinates demolition and removal, framing and carpentry, Level-5 drywall and skim finishing, cabinets, countertops, backsplash and tile, flooring, trim, and final painting — sequenced by one crew so nothing is left waiting on a trade that hasn't shown up.
Where licensed plumbing or electrical work is required, we coordinate those trades directly so you have one accountable point of contact rather than managing subcontractors yourself.
Cabinets
Not every kitchen needs new boxes. If your existing cabinets are structurally sound, our sprayed lacquer cabinet refinishing gives them a factory-style finish at a fraction of replacement cost. If your layout is changing or the boxes aren't salvageable — as in our featured Haddonfield project above — we install new cabinetry as part of the full remodel instead.
Not sure which makes sense for your kitchen? Our cabinet refinishing vs. replacement guide breaks down cost, timeline, and disruption for each path.
Surfaces
We coordinate quartz and granite countertop selection, templating, and installation as part of your remodel, sequencing the work with your cabinets and backsplash so seams, overhangs, and sink cutouts line up correctly the first time.
Finish Detail
Tile backsplash is installed as part of the full remodel — laser-leveled substrate, proper mortar coverage, and precision-spaced grout joints, coordinated with your countertop and cabinet finish for a cohesive look.
Underfoot
New flooring is sequenced into the remodel alongside cabinets and backsplash, with proper subfloor prep underneath. See our full range of flooring capabilities — engineered hardwood, LVP, tile, and more — on our flooring installation page.
Finish Work
Every remodel closes out with our origin craft: Level-5 drywall and skim finishing on walls and ceilings, then interior painting and trim work that ties cabinets, surfaces, and walls together into one finished space.
Full-Scope
Some kitchens call for more than a refresh — a full custom remodel with premium finishes, coordinated materials, and no visible seams between trades. That's a matter of execution, not a separate service tier: the same owner-managed crew that handles a cabinet-and-counter refresh manages a down-to-the-studs custom remodel, with one project lead accountable from the first estimate to the final walkthrough.
What sets a full-scope remodel apart is consistency — cabinet finish, countertop edge profile, backsplash tile, and trim all selected and installed as one cohesive plan, rather than pieced together by separate contractors on separate schedules.
How We Work
We plan layout, materials, and budget together, then deliver a detailed written proposal and schedule.
We remove the old kitchen and coordinate framing, electrical, and plumbing rough-in to code.
Level-5 drywall, cabinetry, countertops, backsplash tile, and flooring are installed in sequence.
Trim, paint, and hardware complete the space; we clean thoroughly and walk every detail with you.
Every HRF kitchen remodeling project is fully licensed, insured (NJ HIC# 13VH07742000), and backed by our 1-year workmanship warranty — in writing.

It varies widely based on kitchen size, cabinet scope (refinish vs. replace), countertop material, flooring, and whether walls or layout are changing. Rather than publish a generic number that may not reflect your project, we ask about your approximate budget and timeline when you request an estimate, so we can give you an accurate, written proposal.
Permit requirements vary by township and project scope — structural changes, layout changes, and new electrical or plumbing typically require permits. We'll walk you through what your specific project requires as part of the proposal process.
Some kitchen layouts can be opened up by removing a wall, but it depends on whether the wall is load-bearing and what a structural evaluation shows. We coordinate the structural and framing work as part of your remodel and will advise honestly on what's possible for your layout.
